2 Day Mini Festival

Bit of a late write up for me but it's here now😊👍. I got myself booked onto Jon Darbys 2 day festival at The Sedges and Avalon. 50/50 payout for overall and silvers and top 4 being paid for both😊👍. It was going to be on weight over the 2 days, 8 possible framing places to fish for👍.

First round was at the Sedges on Tile lake, I drew peg 30, which is a nice corner peg, I was happy with this.

I started on the pellet waggler whilst pinging a meat line at 14m and pinging a pellet line against the long margin.

Had a few on wag before it got hard, quick look on meat line no signs. I decided to feed GB against long margin had a look over this for 1 Carp and several skimmers. Tried the meat line again....nothing🤦.

Tried my close margin early, again with GB (Tom Thicks edge mix). More skimmers was my reward.

Back on the wag for a few more carp, then back in the near margin looking for a big finish, but it was solid with Skimmers😂🤣. I finished up with 36lb2oz of carp and 24lb 14oz Silvers. (Sitting 4th in silvers and 6th overall)

2nd day at Avalon I was on peg 40, I started slapping had 2 carp in the first 30mins😊. A switch to wag saw another carp in the bag👍👍, this was the last carp I landed allday. I just couldn't catch them shallow, whilst others were doing well on it🤦🤦.

I had several lines but I only really caught on my topkit and 1 line, feeding GB and particles (corn,meat) I caught a few big skimmers here.

17lb 2oz of silvers and 14lb 4oz of carp was all I could manage☹☹.

This did however see me steal into 4th place for the Silvers and picked up a little envelope 😊😊
