2 match catch up

First round of Tony Rixons float only league, saw us at Shiplate fishery, with 40 anglers we had the whole complex so 4 lakes that you can draw on here. I drew peg 12 on Hawthornes. Got to the peg, lots of signs of fish shallow and fancied a day catching shallow......WRONG!

Long story short, I struggled to 3 carp and 5 skimmers for last in section😭😭😭🤦. All lakes fished hard, seems the fish are in a funny mood everywhere at the moment?

Next match for me was back at Acorn for a midweek cost cutter, drew peg 40 another bridge peg😊👍. I decided to fish it similar to my win last week feeding maggots against the bridge allday and trying to catch shallow. I had a carp shallow across straight away, but this was a false dawn.

I caught on expander over micros at the bottom of the far shelf, odd skimmers and tench and small stockies. It wasn't hectic I lost 4 carrasio😡. All the while feeding against the bridge.

I did catch against the bridge but it wasn't as good as last week, I had to keep switching rigs to get bites, mixed bag again with nice skimmers some carp and F1s, it never really got going. Tried my edge a few times but no luck here. I finished with 50lb 6oz not enough on the day.
