10 anglers turned up for the evening open, I found myself on a bridge again, peg 40. I had made up some paste and I had anticipated a paste match.
I started by feeding paste and pellets against the bridge, down the middle of the lake. I then began to fish paste in the margin.
Within 5 mins there were loads of carp on the surface directly above where I had fed. I have never seen anything like this before, after a bit of faffing around I got a dibber rig out and had a run of carp shallow.
I got to about 20lb before it got hard and I came back down the margins, whilst feeding pellet against the bridge.
The margins just weren't happening so I went back over to the bridge, this time with paste on the deck, a run of 3 Tench and a few carp followed.
I was forced shallow again as the carp were giving me line bites every putin. I finished with another run of small carp and a weight of 69lb. This saw me finish 6th Glenn had 150lb+, Gary had 110lb and Martin had 90lb+.
Great weights for 3hrs😊👍.
