Acorn excellent turnout

Booked myself onto this week's Tuesday affordable at Acorn, when I arrive there were 27 names on the list👍, a great turnout for Feb.

I drew peg 18, not a flyer but at least I should get some bites🤞🤞.

Started by cupping in 2 balls of GB (50/50 Tom Thick and Sonu Roach) laced with pinkies and maggot.

Went straight over dobbing, I had a couple of indications showing the fish were shallower, so I went tighter over on maggot rig.

After an hour I had a 5lb carp and a few small pasties, things had slowed so came off it.

Went over GB line and had a run of 4 skimmers, this line then slowed. I went fishless for an hour or more, before I eventually caught a couple of silvers over the GB and a couple of tiny carp across.

It was another tough slow match but I struggled my way to 14lb 14oz, this was a good weight in my area, sadly the better pegs had fished, so there was no pickup for me today. Still enjoyed the nice weather and a few bites😊👍
