Acorn winter league Rd3

Today was the 3rd round of 6 rounds in the winter league at Acorn. It was my turn on A section (the best section). I was very happy with my draw peg 5, this is definitely the most consistent peg on the venue👍.

I started across dobbing bread shallow, gradually getting deeper until I got indications. I seemed to only foul hook fish, it was like they just wouldn't take a bait but they were there.

I decided to Introdunce a bit of feed and fish maggot on the deck. This simply increased the number of foul hooked fish.

I had managed to land about 15lb of the foul hooked fish but it was getting Increasingly frustrating.

I had a look on my other lines, (I had one down the track straight in front of me, plus another to my left in the same depth, and a shorter shallower line closer to the bank on my left). None of the lines produced so I got off the box and setup the tip rod, I spent the next 40mins on bomb and bread, several liners but no takes.

Started going back around my lines, with very little reward. With about 1hr to go, whilst trying my down the track line I had a few liners. So with nothing to lose I went over this line with my dobbing rig, fishing half depth and suspending bread. To my surprise the float shot under and I had a nice Carp. Several more followed until the end of the match pushing my weight upto 43lb 11oz and 2nd in section and 2nd in the match😊👍.
