1st day was a random draw, this put me on John Walter lake (No3), peg 66. I had fished this lake last week and used what I had learnt to secure the lake win and get off to a great start. A strong finish in the margins helped me towards my winning weight.
Second day for me was on Tadham Lake (No1). The lake fished hard I went all out for the lake win......bad move! I blew the peg finished last in section and lost any chance of framing overall😭😭😭. A very tough day with very few bites and several large fish lost, the wheel had came off.
Final day one on Tealham Lake (No2), I wasn't really thinking about winning, I started slapping and had a few, stayed on it too long but I have been trying to improve slapping so I stuck at it for a bit👍.
Came off this and decided a couple of hours on the silvers was in order, I enjoyed putting a little bag of silvers together. I eventually decided to try and catch a few carp, I had a few in my right hand margin but it didn't really happen. The lake fished well and several people caught big weights short on meat, I finished last in section again, but I didn't mind had a great last day.
Well done to the team at Landsend for a well run competition the venue is much improved in the past 12months😊👍.
