Only 10 turned out for this one, but that gave us all plenty of room, and it looked like we would need it as 50lb was likely to frame or win.
I had decided to fish for silvers even before I drew, so typically I drew a great carp peg š¤¦. Peg19 was to be my perch for the session, I stubbornly stuck to my plan of going for the silvers.
No surprise then when the first fish I hooked was a 3lb carpš¤£š¤£š.
I had 3 lines on the go, a longish (10Metres) line, fed very positively with GB and maggots. A 6Metre line in a deeper hole, fed frugally with pellet. My short topkit and 1 section line was loose fed with maggot.
I basically rotated around these lines experimenting with hook baits, feed patterns and rigs, to try and find some way of catching consistently.
I caught odd carp in amongst roach, I couldn't tempt any better silvers too feed.
I setup 2 margin line right and left with an hr to go. One fed with maggot the other meat. Roach a put over the maggot, and 2 carp and finally a skimmer over the meatš¤£š¤£š.

32lb 14oz of carp and 5lb dead of silvers saw me finish 4th overall. Tough day but I loved itššš
