New year, brings a new level of grind.

First match of 2022 Acorn fishery, bank holiday open, I was hoping to get off to a flying start. I wasn't unhappy when I was drawn peg 33 and felt it was a strong peg in section (although not a likely main frame peg this time of year).

I started across as I have been doing at Acorn, I even found a nice flat area and really fancied a few fish. I foul hooked one which spooked about 5 others and never had another bite across all match?

After an hour I was onto silver fish lines and eventually hooked a few skimmers after about 1hr 30mins.

I tried short and in the edge, but the only place I could get a bite was down the middle from skimmers.(bites were very very slow).

I DNW but had about 4lb of skimmers, the lake fished hard with 55lb winning and most of my section DNW☹.
