Another silvers only match at plantation, well after a hectic few days, I decided to leave the cameras at home and just have a nice day fishing. I had Sprocket in tow (my dog), I wasn't sure if ice was going to need breaking and it felt like the cameras were just one thing too many on the day to deal with.
I drew peg 7 so a nice short walk to a decent peg😊, well happy.
Poor old Des Shipp drew peg 1 (which isn't a great peg) for the 3rd time in as many matchs☹.
I started at 14m on pellets, I had a fish first put in. A couple more followed, it was very slow but not many others catching so stuck with it.
I had a short line fed with Tom Thick dark sweet GB and maggots. I had another line with Roach GB and maggots these lines were fed and looked after all match and produced only 2 roach between them☹.
I caught all my fish long at 14m on the pellet, I did start up a couple of new pellet lines at 14m they all produced a few fish and kept me ticking over. I weighed 19lb 6oz for 3rd place on the day.
