It's been several weeks since I have been able to fish the Tuesday match at Acorn. Recent matches have been won with weights around 70-80lb and so it was going to be a difficult day.
I drew peg 27, not a peg you would run to but it did have recent form🤞.

I started dobbing with bread, this produced nothing, and after 30mins I was over my silver fish line in open water, 13m to my left. I had fed a ball of GB and some maggot here at the all in, a few roach were caught.
I fed another line at 13m straight in front of me fed with micros. I switched between these 2 lines for 2 hours. I managed a few more roach and a couple of small carp.
All the while I have been priming a top kit and one line with loose fed maggot.
I went over this line, only managed a couple of roach, so back out on the GB line, but bites were really slowing now.
Decided to feed my right hand margin with micros and maggots. A little look over this and an 8lb carp was in the bag😊.
No more fish followed. I decided to plumb a line across with the margin rig, I hooked another carp here about 5lb lost it☹🤦.
Rotated around all my lines things were slow, then with about 1.5hrs to go, I had a run of carp from the right hand margin on expander over micros.
Then a look on the primed maggot swim, resulted in another little run of carp I had put 6 carp in the bag in 40mins. The final 40mins I picked up a couple of skimmers but the carp were gone☹. I finished 6th overall with 45lb 10oz. A couple more carp might have pushed me into a framing place.
