A hot day was forecasted and a hot day it was, carp were visible on the surface on both lakes.

I drew peg 34 I had paste, meat and 8mm pellets on the side tray.

I started fishing in my left margin with paste, whilst feeding meat at 12metres. After 30mins I had a good skimmer was all I had from the margin so put to the meat shallow line, a few more good skimmers followed. I rested the meat line and went in the margin again, nothing doing so back on the meat line a 6lb carp and a few more skimmers.

After a large carp had taken the top kit off my pole, I lost my way a bit and so I decided to give the pellet waggler a go for an hr, one carp was my reward.

I finished the match alternating between my margin paste line and a new meat line at topkit and 3. All I managed was a 4lb Eel over the meat.

I weighed 28lb odd for last in section a tough day.
