Today was the second round of the silver fish league at The Sedges. This week I was drawn on peg 3 on Brick lake.
The weather wasn't good with strong winds and rain forecast all day.
I started by feeding 3 balls of GB at 10M, that was as far as I dare go.
I then chucked the feed about 3/4 of the way to the rope, a 3 hole cage with GB and 2 pinkies on the hook. Had a 1lb skimmer first cast this was to be a false dawn and no more followed (did lose a carp).
After an hr went onto pole line but quickly abandoned it, it was impossible to fish with the wind.
Back on the tip and I swapped to a window feeder which caught me a few small skimmers and another carp.
With about 40mins to go the wind dropped enough to fish properly.
I managed 2 better skimmers and a small one from the pole line👍.
Finished up with just shy of 7lb and second in section again.
