Shiplate Midweek Costcutter Main Lake.

Decided another trip to Shiplate was in order this week, working on my Skimmer pellet fishing. I drew peg 13A which is another new peg for me😊😊, slowly getting to know this venue.

Things didn't start well, I had left my preferred crushed expander groundbait at home🤯. Also some of the GB I had brought premixed from home wasn't right, so I had to quickly knock something up with whatever I had in my bag.

Got started long at 14m on the pellets line and had a nice run of early fish, skimmers in the 2 or 3 to the lb range.

The pellet line began to fade a little. I had fed a short line top kit and 3 sections with a ball of GB and plenty of maggots, I had been loose feeding over this since the start of the match. So I went over this, plenty of bites but all from very very small fish.

Back on the rested pellet line another run of skimmers but it was clear this line was near exhausted.

I started a new pellet line at 14m this produced another good run of skimmers and kept ticking over until the match finished.
