Silvers Only Plantation

My last match this side of Christmas, and I was off to one of my favourite silvers waters, Plantation.

I had the dog in tow, so was happy when I drew 8 not a long walk and a decent peg😊😊👍🤞.

With Paul Faiers on Peg 7, shipping back the pole was interesting, as we would have to ship our poles over one another. A little bit of adjusting and we were all sorted.

I fed 3 balls of Tom thick Intelligent (dark &dark sweet) on my short line at 3 sections and a topkit.

I fed a minuscule amount of Tom thick expander and a pinch of micros on my long line at 13m.

Straight out on the long line and had 8 skimmers in as many put ins.......big weight was on the cards😊😊🎉🎉. Sadly it soon faded and a tiny top up saw me nick a few more fish before it all went quiet.

My short line only produced one skimmer a nice perch and 2 roach all day.

I did open up a new 13m line which did add 5 or 6 more skimmers but it never switched back on again.

I weighed 15lb 4oz a nice days fishing but not quite enough to get in the frame. I love these matches despite my in ability to frame in them.....I will be back 😊 more determined than ever👊.
