Smurfit Kappa Group Match (Acorn)

Thanks to Shane Pope who invited me to fish in this match, which sees several of the different members of the Smurfit Kappa Group, competing in a team match. I was asked to fill in and make up some numbers.

The match was held at Acorn fishery with 5, 6 man teams competing for section points. I drew peg 29, which I was less than happy with🤣🤣😂.

Once at the peg it was clear that there were a few fish down our end so probably not as bad as feared😊😊😊🎉.

Well after 3hrs fishing I had one small Tench and one small Skimmer🤯🤯🤯🤯.

I started to try just about everything I could which didn't help and with 1.5hrs to go I had landed two more small carp, giving me about 5lb😭😭😭😭.

So in desperation I got a paste rig out of my box plumbed up in the margins. I had one line topkit and two to my right, then one to each platform left and right. I managed a few carp and managed to lose 3 under platforms☹☹.

I weighed 37lb, I think I finished about 11th overall, but did pick up a default section win😊. Our team didn't win not sure which team won, but congratulations to them🎖.

Thanks to all that fished, seemed like a great bunch of guys and I had a good chat with a few new people😊.
