Teams of 3 first round Blow out!

Fished the first round of Matt Culpins teams of 3 league at Shiplate fishery. My fish round draw saw me on peg 13 on the main lake.

My plan was simple, start slapping, look to keep.catching shallow if not method over the shallow line and margins late on.

Well slapping just didn't work 1hr 15mins of slapping produced a 3oz skimmer☹. A quick look on the method also produced nothing.

I was soon fishing the deck at 10metres with micros and expander which gave me a nice run of skimmers and I lost a couple of carp, foul hooked I assume.

I kept rattling 8mms throughout at about 20metres.

I eventually had a go on the method over the 8mms this went round 3 times in 3 chucks and I thought I was on for a weight, but, it wasn't to be? 😥

With an hour to go I noticed fish in my margins where I had been big potting corn and dead maggot.

Unfortunately they were proving hard to catch, eventually I was forced to drop the method feeder in the edge this produce a final run of 3 carp.

I knew 6 carp and 15lb of skimmers wasn't going to be a good return from the main lake, I finished 57lb 14oz only beating 2 people in my 12 man section not a great start☹.
