Winter league Blow out

Today was the 5th round of the winter league at Acorn. Going into this round I was in contention and needed a section win or second to stay in the mix. When I was drawn peg1 I knew the odds were stacked against me, but I still went to my peg with a good level of optimism.

1.5hrs in, no bites the writing was on the wall. With 1hr to go I still hadn't had a carp, only a few silvers☹. I did hook 2 carp in the last 30mins, one of them did me under the platform and the other was 1.5lb.

So I finished up with 5lb odd only beating 1 in my 7 man section......oh dear!! chances of an overall framing place are looking slim now😂😂😂😂🤪

I can't remember Acorn fishing this hard, the weights were really low this week.

One more round to go and quite a few people fighting it out for 2nd and 3rd place so anything could happen yet🤞🤞
