First time fishing Tile lake at the Sedges, a day out with Mendip nomads saw me drawn on peg 27. I was slow to setup and so didn't bait a hook until 10mins after the all in😂🤣🤦.
Fed a silvers line with GB and dead reds topkit and 4 sections, in about 7feet of water.
Started short on meat, 25mins no indications, so I went onto the feeder.
It was tough to cast accurately, I fished GB on a banjo feeder with 2 dead maggots on the hook.
After 1.5hrs got 16lb of carp in the next plus a few skimmers, I felt like things were going well.
Went over GB when feederline died, had some skimmers, plus one carp, which would be my last carp of the day.
I did try the feeder again when resting the GB line, but no more bites.
Started to turn my mind towards having a strong finish with carp short, but essentially it didn't work, 2 foul hookers was all I could muster.
I finished with 39lb for a poor result in the end, as many did catch carp late.
I must admit I am very impressed with the Tile lake at the Sedges and I will be visiting a bit more this year😊👍
