Decided to have another visit to Sedges today, despite not really having the time, but work can waitššš¤£š.
Open was on Tile lake but with a good turnout one side of Brick lake was also in the draw bag.
Typically I drew on Brick peg 6, the carp were all cruising on the surface and i felt we might be in for another hard dayā¹.
I was setting up everything which really only went to show that I had confidence in nothingš.
I managed to settle myself on paste short fishing.
I started short to my right in 4 foot on paste, had a good fish after 30mins, then another 20mins later. After 1.5hrs I had 3 and I was reasonably happy.
A few people were catching odd fish shallow I needed to rest the paste line, so I had a go at mugging a few....failed this is something I need to get my head around, as I think it should have workedā¹ā¹ā¹.
Had another look on paste swim one more carp and a lost foul hooker.
Went long on the deck with meat and short to my left with meat, but no fish.
So back on the paste line, not a lot happening so I decided to push the paste swim a bit and started to feed it more aggressively. Had another fish but it wasn't really happening fast enough.
I decided to fish paste in my left margin whilst resting my main paste line, this produced a nice run of late fish and I finished with 77lb.
Which wasn't too shabby on the day although not good enough for a pick up.
